Anyone who knows gifted children understands that statement by Dr. Beljan, a pediatric neuropsychologist speaking about gifted kids. Beljan was interviewed by KUTV in Salt Lake City, Utah, for their Parent 2 Parent report. Beljan notes not only the emotional intensities of gifted kids, but also their misdiagnosis. He also says that if schools can't help parents, then professionals experienced with gifted kids can. They can help parents learn "how to deal with their gifted child, help them get the most out of their education and help them navigate through a life, which can feel lonely."
