Pearl Harbor Day

By December 7, 2012

Follow me on:

Pearl Harbor Day is a day of remembrance, a day on which we honor those who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. It was a horrific event that took America by surprise and led the US to enter World War II.

There are fewer and fewer people alive who were at Pearl Harbor on that day or even who fought in the war. While we may not have them with us much longer, we will never forget the sacrifices they made for us.

You may have been able to talk to people who had first-hand experiences in the war.  I did.  Three of my uncles were in that war. But our children won't have them to talk to.  But we can still help them learn about the War and especially about Pearl Harbor. One good way to help them learn is through children's books about the attack on Pearl Harbor.
