WOW! Tips for Legislative Advocacy

Parents of gifted kids often struggle to get their children's needs met in school. We go to school and do all we can to advocate for our child.  Sometimes, though, we need to advocate, not just for our child, but for all gifted children, in our district and in our state. When legislators and educators truly understand gifted children and their needs, they will be more likely to do what they can to see that those needs are met.

On Wednesday, October 20, you can participate in the next Webinar on Wednesday session offered by the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC).  This one is called "Preparing to Be a Warrior for Gifted Education: Planning for Legislative Advocacy & 10 Tips for Advancing the Cause." I know this is going to be a great session because it's being given by my good friend Ginny Burney.

Ginny was one of the first people I met in the Indiana Association for the Gifted when I first started looking for help and support.  She has worked tirelessly on behalf of gifted children and has been instrumental in getting legislation passed supporting gifted education. She knows what she's talking about!

The session starts at 7 p.m. Eastern time and cost $39 for NAGC members and $59 for nonmembers. For more information, visit the WOW Website.
