WOW - Myths and Truths of Gifted Ed

Wow indeed!  I am quite excited about this, but the WOW I'm referring to is the NAGC fall WOW (Webinar on Wednesdays) series. On October 13, you can join Don Treffinger for a Webinar on "Examining the Myths and Truths of Gifted Education."

You may be aware of the gifted education myths that NAGC has highlighted. Even if you're already familiar with some of these myths, this WOW session promises to provide ways to dispel them.

According to the NAGC description of this session, gifted education myths "...have had detrimental effects on providing quality instruction for our nation's high-ability learners. These myths have affected every facet of the field, and in turn have distorted the perception of not only what gifted students need in the classroom, but also what they can offer the nation now and into the future."

The session starts at 7:00 p.m. Eastern and lasts an hour. If you're an NAGC member, the cost is just $39.  If you're not a member, the cost is $59, but it's still a great deal, considering you don't have to travel anywhere and get to interact with an expert in the gifted education field!

To register or get more information about the WOW series, visit the NAGC WOW page.
