Learn everything there is to know about Virginia wine at this annual festival in Centreville, Virginia. Find samples of more than 200 wines from over 20 wineries in this all-you-can-taste event, which will also offer children’s activities, food, and live entertainment. Adult admission with tasting is $39 in advance.

The Washington Folk Festival

The Washington Folk Festival promises Slavic singing to banjos and bluegrass and everything in between. This free annual festival in Glen Echo Park features hundreds of musicians, storytellers, dancers, and craft vendors representing the rich cultural diversity of the Washington area.

Armed Forces Cycling Classic

Editor's note: This year's Armed Forces Cycling Classic has been cancelled.

Competitive cyclists and cyclists of all abilities will get on their bikes in this Arlington race held over two days. See the nation's top pro men and women cyclists go head to head during this race. The race courses go through Northern Virginia, including around the Pentagon, Crystal City, and Rosslyn.

Capital Pride

This street festival and parade celebrates pride in the LGBTQ communities in Washington, DC. A 1.5-mile parade on Saturday with floats, vehicles, marchers, and entertainment starts at 4:20 p.m. at P and 22nd Streets, finishing at 14th and R Streets.
