Back to School Night

Saturday August 26, 2006
Most kids are back in school by now and one of the best ways to understand what your child is and will be experiencing there is to attend the school open house or back to school night. It's important for all parents to go, but it's especially important for parents who are unable to volunteer in the classroom or spend much time at school. These evenings are a way to get a sense of your child's teacher and his or her policies. It's also a good opportunity for your child's teacher or teachers to get to know you.

Why of course, parents should always take part in all their students’ affairs in school. It’s just through that way, parents are informed or updated of their childrens’ activities in school.

Yes, parents should participate in all their children’s school affairs, but the sad truth is that most don’t. Some parents don’t seem to have time and others don’t think it’s important to attend parent night. If all parents went to parent nights, we wouldn’t have to explain how important it is to go!
